In other news, according to the Daily News, an industry insider is claiming that Jay-Z is in talks to start his own label with the head of Warner Music Group a, Lyor Cohen. The rap mogul, born Shawn Carter, may name the label "Carter Music Group." According to the insider, "He wouldn't mind having a small label for the talent he discovers. He might just put out three or four records a year. He'd let somebody else do the heavy lifting." In more Jay news, Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige have announced a 25-date co-headlining U.S. tour that will start March 22 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. The tour has been dubbed "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City."
