| This week it's a heads up for all you unsigned artists out there. Enjoy! Michael Mauldin, chairman of SCREAM Star Entertainment and producer of the mega successful SCREAM Tour concert series, has announced the launch of www.SCREAMSTAR.com. According to Michael: "Every few weeks, new features, promotions and content will roll out on the site. Such as our search for THE NEXT SCREAM STAR, where we will allow users to upload their own performance video to be judged by a group of entertainment executives for their shot at being selected to compete on national television to win a recording contract with SCREAM Star Records, a performance on the SCREAM Tour and $100,000 cash!" Since debuting in 2001, the SCREAM Tour has proven to be among the most successful concert series in the nation. SCREAM alumni include the likes of: Bow Wow, Yung Joc, Omarion, Chris Brown, B5 & Ne-Yo. Most recently, SCREAMFEST '07, starring T.I. and Ciara, thrilled sold-out crowds in 20 markets during the summer of 2007 and featured special guests such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Diddy, R. Kelly, Nelly & Common. Plans are currently being made to ensure that this year's tour is better than ever before. "SCREAM Star Entertainment is dedicated to maximizing our relationship with the trendsetting urban teen market; so stay tuned for what's to come from SCREAMSTAR.com and SCREAM Star Entertainment in 2008." "CLICK HERE" to preview SCREAM TV. Don't sleep, IveGotBeats.com has launched the Beat XChange allowing producers to sell their music online to artists, auction style. The site has positioned itself to alleviate the traditional record label A&R process by directly connecting the artist and the producer. Artists and producers all over the world are able to collaborate with each other right from the comfort of their own computer. The Beat XChange allows producers to place their original beats/tracks/compositions online for artists to hear and place bids on. Much in the same fashion as e-bay, the auction floor is opened for artists to place bids until an offer is accepted by the producer. According to Gerald Olivari, "Recognizing the impact that technology such as pro tools and social music networking websites have had on the industry, we decided that it was the perfect time to introduce this service." That's what's up for this week. See you next week, Inside Hip-Hop! |
