PINK - her story

Born Alecia Moore September 8, 1979, this R&B/pop star grew up with a love for music and dancing.

As a young teenager Pink was at clubs tryin' to be heard. She sang background for a rap group, Scratch n' Smoove, at age 13 and chilled in the studio, hoping to get a track made in her home town, Philly.

"I'm a very extreme person," as quoted at LaFace.com. "I went through a lot of phases growing up, and for everyone, I was extreme."

Eventually, MCA picked her up and after two failed attempts at all-female trios, PINK went solo.

Now with label-mates such as Outkast and Usher, this hot female artist fluidly followed in their footsteps and has topped the charts continually.

Pink had females across the planet feelin' her as she sang to her ex-boyfriend in "There You Go" on her debut album "can't take me home." Her accomplishments include writing more than a dozen songs on "can't take me home" and now her spohomore "Missundastood." Both albums were released under LaFace Records.
