Littles - Reloaded, The Mixtape

By Mark Williams-Washington

There is an entrepreneur who reigns from the legendary Queensbridge projects with the same impeccable business skills as any music mogul in the game. And given the right situation and opportunity, he will be just as big, if not bigger, than they are. Go to the nearest mom-and-pop store and you will no doubt find him in a hood near you!

Shine: First and foremost I would like to say I respect ya hustle dogs. Keep grinding like you doing. So what's good fam, what's popping?

Littles: Reloaded. My new CD/DVD. It's in stores. I'm on my grind with it. It’s my best CD/DVD I put out to date. Just building Littles as a brand just like a Dipset or D-Block. The world is gonna get Littles.

Shine: I know you're the first person to do a CD and DVD together, how did you come up with the idea?

Littles: I wanted to set myself apart from other Queensbridge rappers and I felt those from my hood expressed how we lived through music. I figured I let the world see Queensbridge up close and personal!

Shine: On the American Dream DVD, you mentioned rappers "being broke," "pawning their chains for rent." What do you think causes that to happen?

Littles: Big advances up front, spending the money, especially not knowing the business. Once the money is gone and you have no album out, how you gonna pay your rent? That's how.

Shine: Were you really serious when you said Ron Artest and yourself are the only people from Queensbridge who give back to the community?

Littles: DEAD SERIOUS! I don't have Ron Artest money so he probably gives more, but I do what I can for the kids.

Shine: What are you looking for as far as a major label is concerned?

Littles: Backing and funding.

Shine: Would you consider doing business with any indie labels?

Littles: I'm looking for a very good deal. With someone that's willing to add to my grind and blow me through the roof. I did the dirty work. Ask around, the streets know me because I've been pounding the pavement!

Shine: Do you think Mobb Deep going to G-Unit was a good move or bad move?

Littles: It’s not my move to decide, but brands don't sign to brands. Dipset won't sign to D-Block. Jay-Z will never sign Nas...unless of course the brand is weak. Mobb Deep had it good with Jive, what Jim Jones is to Dipset, I was to Mobb Deep. They scared to get rich and carry others. They lost a 10 million 50/50 split deal... "infamous records" they been shouting for years finally with a home. Now they back signed as artists. Let the fans do the math. I wish them luck. I'm focused on me.

Shine: On the Reloaded CD / DVD who do you have production from?

Littles: Havoc, Red Spyda and the rest of the production is up and coming hunger!

Shine: How many hours or days do you spend selling your stuff out of the trunk and going to mom-and-pop stores?

Littles: Twenty-four my nig! We eat, sleep, and breathe this...believe it!

Shine: What else should we be looking out for?

Littles: I have a new Tragedy Khadafi CD/DVD we putting out...then Reloaded 2. I also have a major distribution deal on the table. I'm gonna do two albums with someone to test the waters.

Shine: Any last words or shout outs?

Littles: If you don't know me, get to know me from this interview on. Littles is Queensbridge new general! I'm bringing that gangster music to the the air waves. "I'm the first to wake and the last to sleep." Rome wasn't built in a day, so anybody trying to get out there just never give up and you will see your dreams true!
