From production to vocals, this up-n-comin' artist has it all. Recently steppin' out of the South Florida studio with his latest project in hand, KatDaddy, aka PapiGato, is ready to take on the music world like no other. His production talents range from hip-hop to rock to heavy soulful beats, and stop at every genre along the way. Kat is currently working on a solo project titled DA STRUGGLE set to be released this Spring. His 2003 Parties & Problems, CD was not this multi-faceted artist's first project. He originally proved his talents while working in the studio with Devante of Jodeci back in the mid-90s. "I had the opportunity to work with Devante in Rochester and Charlotte (NC)," said Kat. "That is where my training on the keyboard began." Since the days in studios in NY and NC, where he'd vibe with now platinum-selling artists such as Tweet and Playa, and soon to be released Universial Music artists Black&Wild, Kat has continued to develop his musical talents.
His resume includes appearing on Amateur Night at the Apollo, multiple talent contests across the Northeast, production for Black&Wild, and continually writing songs for artists in New York and Florida. "I admire a lot of artists out there today," he said. "I have my mind set on continuing my musical growth and getting out there with the best of them." As for now, his main goals include shopping Parties & Problems, promoting his company, and continuing to work on his soulful R&B album. |
